Terms of Service
Last updated September 28, 2026
These terms govern your use of coLab, the workspace service at colab.neurasense.io and the coLab iOS app. By creating an account or using coLab you agree to them. If you use coLab for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use coLab.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and is part of these terms.
1. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give accurate information, and keep your password, passkeys and API tokens secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not share it.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has got into your account.
- Access to coLab may be limited to people invited by us or by a workspace.
2. Workspaces and roles
A workspace belongs to the people who run it. Its owners decide who can join, what role each person has, which integrations and agents are switched on, and what happens to the content in it. Content you add to a workspace is visible to the members who have access to it under those roles, and owners can remove content and members. If you join a workspace run by an organization, that organization may have its own rules as well.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into coLab. You give us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process, transmit and display it, only as needed to run the service for you and the people you share it with. That includes sending it to the providers named in the Privacy Policy when you use a feature that needs them.
You are responsible for your content, and you promise that you have the right to share it. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- break the law, or infringe someone else's rights;
- upload malware, or use coLab to attack, spam, harass or deceive people;
- try to reach another person's data or workspace without permission, or probe, disrupt or overload the service;
- get around permissions, rate limits, usage allowances or security measures;
- use sandboxes or compute for cryptocurrency mining, attacks, or heavy work that has nothing to do with your projects;
- use hosted previews to host phishing pages or malware, or content you have no right to share;
- scrape coLab or automate it other than through our documented API, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
coLab has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post anything hateful or discriminatory, anything that harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates someone, sexually explicit material, or anything that encourages violence or self-harm.
We screen messages for slurs and abusive language before they are posted. Anyone can report a message: open its menu (in the iOS app, hold the message) and choose Report message. Anyone can also block another person, which hides that person's messages from them, stops that person's notifications reaching them, and stops direct messages between the two. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these terms we remove it and remove the person who posted it from the workspace, and we may close their account.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we will try to tell you when we do.
5. AI features and agents
Agents and other AI features can be useful and can be wrong. Check what they produce before you rely on it. Agents can take actions in a workspace, such as creating or changing tasks and notes, sending messages, and working on connected repositories, within the access they have been given. You are responsible for what you authorize and for how agents in your workspace are set up. Do not submit information to an AI feature that you are not allowed to share with the providers named in the Privacy Policy.
6. Third-party services
coLab connects to other services, such as Slack, GitHub, Microsoft, Telegram and Stripe. Your use of them is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.
7. Plans and payment
Some features may need a paid plan. Where paid plans are offered, the price and what is included are shown before you subscribe, payment is handled by Stripe, and a subscription renews until it is cancelled. Cancelling stops future renewals. We may change plans and prices, and we will give the workspace owner notice before a change applies to their next billing period. Prices do not include taxes. If something is wrong with a charge, write to us.
8. Changes to the service
We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We try to keep coLab available, but we cannot promise that it will always be. Some features may be marked as beta and may change or fail. If you give us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using coLab and delete your account at any time, on the web under Account settings or in the iOS app under Settings. The Privacy Policy explains what deletion removes and what stays with your team. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if it puts others or the service at risk, or if the law requires it.
10. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, coLab is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that AI output will be accurate. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to coLab is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and US$100. Nothing in these terms limits a right or a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we will update the date at the top. For material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using coLab after a change takes effect, you accept it.
